George Michael has been released from hospital in Vienna and is currently on his way back to the UK to celebrate Christmas at home.
Austria's state broadcaster ORF says the singer was released this morning (December 22) from the AKH hospital and is catching a flight to London later in the day.
The singer was ordered by doctors to stay in hospital in Vienna, Austria after catching ‘serve’ pneumonia last month and it was unclear whether he would make it home for Christmas.
George Michael tweeted fans on his condition earlier this year: 'Christmas at home. I cannot stop smiling today, the best day ever. He is getting better and better. Nothing to worry about, happy days.'
The singer initially cancelled his upcoming two dates at Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena but a spokesman has now confirmed that none of the planned UK shows will go ahead.
