Nintendo will showcase the Wii U at CES 2012, as the company hopes to turn the negative tide of public opinion that has formed against the first of the next-gen consoles.
The Japanese giants unveiled the Wii U at E3 2011, which, rather than impressing with its second touch screen controller and HD graphics, only served to make people question exactly was its point - and they will be hoping to have some of those questions answered at CES in January.
The company released a statement saying: "Nintendo of America, working with the 2012 International CES management, will offer demos of the upcoming Wii U console to members of the media who did not see the system at the 2011 E3 Expo.
"Nintendo will not have a booth at CES, nor does it plan to include any games, experiences or information beyond what was available at the 2011 E3 Expo."
The Wii U is due to be released in time for Christmas 2012.
