Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner has admitted that he's forgotten how to write hit songs.
The frontman , who rounded off the band's UK tour earlier this month, said that he doesn't see himself as a naturally singer.
Speaking about his songwriting, Turner told The Sun: I have f*cking forgotten how to do that. I don't know what that is any more, it's a different landscape these days."
He added: "I was never a singer. I have had to practice at that and writing melodies is something that didn't come naturally. I was more comfortable writing lyrics.
"I am still working on it but I think we are getting there with the singing thing."
Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys look set to take America by storm in 2012, following relentless touring and promotion this year.
The Sheffield band, who released latest album 'Suck It And See' in May', revealed that their new material has gone down well with American fans.
