Adele has denied that she cancelled all her remaining tour dates for 2011 due to online rumours that she has throat cancer.
The London singer, who released her acclaimed second album ‘21’ earlier this year, is due to undergo surgery to deal with her persistent vocal problems and has announced that she will be unable to perform for the rest of the year.
Fears for Adele were raised after online reports this morning (October 31) suggested that the unspecified illness may actually be throat cancer.
A statement issued by her record label XL Recordings said: ''We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord. All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false,"
All rescheduled tour dates, which were postponed due to the singer's ill health, have also been cancelled. Ticket buyers able to get refunds from their point of purchase.
