Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is on course to debut at number on in the UK album chart.
The singer, who released his debut solo album on Monday (October 17) is currently number one in the UK midweek charts with X Factor winner Matt Cardle in second place with 'Letters'.
Adele's '21' slips to number four, marking the first time the album has been out of the top three since its release.
Elsewhere on the singles chart, The Wanted are on course to achieve their third UK number one.
The boyband's new single 'Lightning' has knocked Rihanna and Calvin Harris' 'We Found Love' off the top spot.
Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera are at number four with 'Moves Like Jagger', whilst Kelly Clarkson rounds off the top 5 with new single 'Mr Know It All'.
