Noel Gallagher has refused to comment on the recent Stone Roses reunion speculations.
It was reported over the weekend that the band, fronted by Ian Brown, will announce their reformation on Tuesday (October 18) 15 years after they split in 1996.
A press conference has been called in London on Tuesday by a major music PR for a "very important announcement’’.
Appearing on XFM's breakfast show this morning, Gallagher refused to confirm or deny the reports: ''It's not for me to say is it? It's not for me to say what I've heard."
When asked if he thought of the band reuniting, he replied, "I'd rather not say. One legendary Mancunian band goes on ice... the road is open."
According to The Sun this morning (October 17), magician Dynamo and close friend of Ian Brown, showed the paper a text message from the singer, which said: ''We are going to rule the world again. It's happening."
Elbow's Guy Garvey has reportedly also confirmed the reunion, with a source telling the paper: "Guy was talking to friends about how the original line-up had been rehearsing over the summer in Manchester."
