TV executive Mike Darnell has revealed that he has 'no regrets' over axing Cheryl Cole from the X Factor USA.
The Girls Aloud star was axed from the show and replaced by Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger earlier this year.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Cheryl Cole's debut as a judge on The X Factor USA was praised by critics when it aired in the US last week (September 12).
Darnell told Deadline: "It's easy to love the one that's gone, but Nicole is great too. Both are stunning but also very different."
He added: "[I have] no regrets. But I also love Cheryl."
The rest of the X Factor USA panel consists of Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Paula Abdul, while British TV presenter Steve Jones hosts the show.
