A Dublin music shop has banned customers from playing Adele's 'Someone Like You' on their instruments.
Opus ii have place a sign in the window of their store in the Irish capital that tells amateur musicians: “Strictly NO Adele.” It is not clear whether the sign applies to Adele as well.
The song has become a favourite for piano players since it was released as part of the London singer's worldwide smash hit album, '21', earlier this year.
"It's become the piano equivalent of 'Stairway To Heaven'. Everyone thinks they can play it," a shop assistant called Warren told the Independent.
"The sign was a bit of a joke, but the song can drive you mad."
Opus ii have also imposed a ban on customers looking for a new keyboard from playing – or attempting to play – Beethoven's over-played 'Für Elise'.
