Janet Jackson has said she will not be performing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff.
The gig, at the Millennium Stadium on October 8, has been organised in conjunction with members of Jackson's family, although brother Jermaine and Randy have opposed the event because of its timing around the trial of Dr Conrad Murray.
In a statement, Janet Jackson said: "Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me."
Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Smokey Robinson will all perform at the event, while Beyonce has apparently agreed to appear via satellite link.
The promoter behind the much-criticised Michael Jackson tribute concert recently defended the event amid a storm of criticism from his fans.
Dr Conrad Murray is due to stand trial charged with involuntary manslaughter. He has pleaded not guilty.
