Metallica and Lou Reed have announced the release date for their new collaboration album.
The album, entitled 'Lulu' will be released on October 31 in the UK and in the US in November 1. An official website for the album has been launched and will include further detail about the joint project in the coming weeks.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Lou Reed, who has wrote ten songs with Metallica which will feature on the new album, said they have re-recorded some of the music he wrote for the musical version of Frank Wedekind's Lulu.
Metallica headlined this year''s Sonisphere festival as part of the Big Four, which also includes Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeath.
