Britney Spears has been banned from owning a mobile phone in order to keep her under control, it has been reported.
The singer, whose father has been in charge of her affairs since her breakdown in 2008, has been told she is not allowed to own a phone.
The move comes after it was reported that Spears had sent nude pictures to her former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who then threatened to use them in court.
A source told The Sun: ''Britney's inner-circle keep a close eye on her to ensure she keeps herself together. One of the rules is she gave up her cell phone. That helps them keep her under control.''
Adding: ''Britney is on tour again, which she truly loves. This would be the worst time to make a change, while she is on the road, and is in unfamiliar surroundings... There is just no reason for the conservatorship to end this year. The worst thing that could happen is that it ends, and Britney reverts back to her old ways, that would truly gut Jamie.''
Meanwhile, Britney Spears has extended the UK leg of her Femme Fatale tour later this year.
