PIAS have established a fund to help raise money following the fire at their distribution warehouse in North London.
The three-storey building in Enfield, owned by Sony, was ravaged by flames during Monday's (August 8) rioting in the capital.
In a statement today (August 11), PIAS, who distribute music for dozens of independent labels, thanked people who are organising fundraising events.
“The last 48 hours has seen a genuine outpouring of support for the principle of independent labels, artists and repertoire,” the statement said.
The fund, established alongside AIM – Association Of Independent Music – is open for companies and organisers of initiatives to contribute to.
The statement added: “In this way, we have created a vehicle for enabling those involved to do so safe in the knowledge that such monies will be distributed fairly amongst the most needy labels with the sanction of both [PIAS] and AIM.”

Meanwhile, three teenagers have been arrested over the fire at the warehouse.
