Gallows have announced that former Alexisonfire singer and guitarist Wade MacNeil will be their new frontman.
The announcement follows weeks of speculation about the singer’s identity following the departure of founder Frank Carter.
And it also comes just days after the Canadian post-hardcore band confirmed that they had split up.
In an interview with AltPress, MacNeil said he and the rest of Gallows are already working on new material.
“The first day, we wrote something that I think is the most brutal thing the band has ever written,” he said. "It’s just the harshest, heaviest song that’s, like, thirty-five seconds long. I think that’s going to be the first thing the band puts out.”
It is not clear when Gallows plan to release new material.
As previously reported on Gigwise, former Gallows frontman Carter has formed a new band called Pure Love.
