Kanye West paid tribute to Amy Winehouse as he headlined the second day of this year’s Big Chill festival in Herefordshire.
The rapper closed his performance on the main stage with a medley of Winehouse’s hits, ‘Tears Dry On Their Own’ and ‘Back To Black’. The singer died last month at the age of 27.
“I was at Paris fashion week a few years ago with my fiancée at that time,” West said.
“We went to a house party and I met this beautiful, amazing, talented and funny woman. This is in memory of her.”
West’s performance on the main stage echoed his set at the Coachella festival in Los Angeles earlier this year.
Despite suffering from a voice problem, which meant he arrived on stage 30 minutes late, the rapper performed songs spanning his entire career, including recent album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’.
