Avril Lavigne was mobbed onstage during a gig in Brazil earlier this week.
The singer was about to perform a cover of 'Fix You' by Coldplay when a female fan ran on stage and attempted to grab the star.
Fortunately for Lavigne, the woman was pulled away by two members of her security team before she could grab the singer - you can watch video footage of the incident below on Gigwise.
Earlier this summer, Lavigne revealed that she had already started work on her new album despite having only released 'Goodbye Lullaby' in March.
"I already have eight songs! I would like to release the fifth album really quick," she said.
