Jessie J has told Cher Lloyd to ignore her “haters” amid a raft of negative publicity around the former X Factor singer.
Lloyd, who has a reputation for being outspoken, has come under fire following the release of her debut single 'Swagger Jagger'.
On Twitter, Jessie J introduced herself to Lloyd and advised her to ignore the negative press.
She wrote: “Hey @CherLloyd just wanted to say hello and that im not feeling how people are making you feel! You do you girl. Dont let there negative energy ruin your happiness :) x' [sic]"
Lloyd then replied: "thank you! Looking forward to meeting you in the near future. Imma fan of your stuff! Big love, xxxx"
In a recent interview, Lloyd said she wanted people to “give her a break”.
But the negative criticism does not appear to be affecting sales of 'Swagger Jagger', which is on course to knock JLS of the top of the singles chart this weekend.
