Damon Albarn has unveiled the first recordings from his new project Africa Express.
The Blur and Gorillaz frontman posted the 51 second track, entitled 'Hallo', online today (August 2). You can listen to the track below on Gigwise.
Albarn is currently leading a team of producers to create the album for Oxfam.
The group, DRC Music, includes Tottaly Enormous Extinict Dinosaurs, Dan The Automator, Jneiro Jarel, Richard Russell, Actress, Marc Antoine, Jo Gunton and Kwes.
The album is designed to highlight the ongoing humanitarian suffering in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which has been triggered by years of internal conflict.
Meanwhile, Alabrn performed his new opera 'Doctor Dee' at this year's Manchester International festival.
