Amy Winehouse, 27, has been found dead at her London home.
A spokesman for Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and the cause of death was still unexplained.
A London Ambulance Service is said to have been called to the London flat at 4pm BST today (July 23) but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Amy Winehouse made a surprise appearance at a gig by her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield in London earlier this week (July 20). The appearance came after she was forced to cancel the remaining dates on her European tour.
The singer released two albums; 2003's 'Frank' and 2006's award-winning 'Back To Black'.
Winehouse has had a documented battle with drugs and alcohol.
Our thoughts are with the Winehouse family during this difficult time.
