Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour is set to appeal against his son's 16-month prison sentence, it has been reported.
Last week (July 15) Charlie Gilmour was jailed for 16 months for violent disorder during last year's protests against student tuition fees.
In May, the 21-year-old Cambridge University student pleaded guilty to Violent Disorder after he was seen hanging from a Union Jack flag on the Cenotaph in London.
According to the Evening Standard the Gilmour family are now ''actively considering grounds for appeal".
Meanwhile, Pink Floyd's Nick Mason has acknowledged that fans want to see the band reunite again.
