Rihanna has overtaken Lady Gaga as the most popular living celebrity on Facebook.
The singer achieved the feat on Thursday (July 14) lunchtime, according to Famecount.com.
At present, Rihanna has 40,588,352 million compared to Lady Gaga, who has 40,558,506 million.
Rihanna has enjoyed a spectacular rise in popularity on Facebook – she only had around 5,000,000 fans on the social-networking website a year ago.
The singer, who is currently on the US leg of her Loud Tour, is also one of the most dominant celebrities on Twitter, with 6 million followers. But Rihanna is not as popular as Lady Gaga, who has over 11 million Twitter fans.
