Spotify, the music-streaming service, has launched in America today (July 14).
Previously confined to parts of Europe, Spotify's US hopes had been delayed while the company struck deals with the major labels in America.
In a statement, Spotify said: “The award-winning music service that’s taken Europe by storm has now come to US shores.
“Millions of tracks ready to play instantly, on your computer and your phone.”
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor said on Twitter: “Finally! Spotify is coming to the US. I've been using this for a while and it's great.”
American-based music fans can now submit their email to be invited to use the service.
