Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl has revealed that the band recorded their latest album in a garage as he hates bands who use studio technology to sound better.
The band recorded 'Wasting Light, which was released in April, using analogue techniques with Nirvana producer Butch Vig.
"All that s*it ruins music these days. Drum machines work for pop artists but when it comes to rock 'n' roll - don't f*ck with the human element,'' Grohl told The Sun.
He added: "I learnt to play the drums by listening to records. I had favourite drummers because of their inconsistencies. Modern production has robbed drummers of personalities and it really pisses me off."
The Foo Fighters are among the acts that are due to appear at this year's iTunes festival (July 11) along with Friendly Fires, Moby and Example.
