Music stars and celebrities have been responding to the close of the News Of The World newspaper, which will publish its last ever edition on Sunday (July 10).
The Sunday paper is to close following claims that it hacked into the phones of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler and family members of 7/7 bombing victims.
Musicians have been responding to the news on Twitter.
Example said: “The News Of The World is being shut down?? How is Kerry Katona gonna feed her kids!?”
Former Beta Band star Steve Mason said: “The News of the World no longer exists! Murdoch just sacked the lot of em.”
Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac also tweeted that she “won't miss” the newspaper.
In a statement, News International chairman James Murdoch said the paper's good qualities “have been sullied by behaviour that was wrong - indeed, if recent allegations are true, it was inhuman and has no place in our company".
