Production has begun on a 3D animated biopic about the late Monty Python member, Graham Chapman.
A Liar's Autobiography will be based on Chapman's autobiography, published in 1982.
The film will feature recorded excerpts of Chapman reading the book from the year it was published, with surviving members of the legendary comedy team lending their vocal talents.
In a press statement, EPIX President and CEO Mark Greenberg said: "This innovative and modern take on Chapman’s comic genius is an exciting event, and EPIX is thrilled to premiere A Liar’s Autobiography in the United States."
Chapman's Python cohort Terry Jones said: "I had no idea until recently that Graham Chapman is in fact dead - I thought he was just being lazy. However, I am now delighted to find myself working with him again on this exciting project."
It is unkown how much of Chapman's story is true, as he was apt to exaggerating the truth.
Co-director Jeff Simpson said: "We've been working closely with the Chapman estate and the Pythons to make sure we get this exactly right. Graham would be delighted that his work is being re-imagined in glorious 3D. He always loved wearing silly glasses."
Fellow Pythons Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin also star.
A Liar's Autobiography is due for release in the spring of 2012.
