Biffy Clyro have revealed that their fan base has grown since X Factor winner Matt Cardle covered one of their songs.
Cardle released a cover of ‘Many Of Horror’ - renamed ‘When We Collide - last Christmas following his triumph on the reality talent contest.
"We've definitely had a lot more people checking us out since he covered our song," singer Simon Neil told the Daily Star.
“But those people who turn up at shows for the first time get the fright of their lives when they realise we're a full-on rock band."
Neil added that he had “nothing but respect” for Cardle, who he said “likes good music, he likes real bands and he liked our song”.
Biffy Clyro are currently recording their new album.
