30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto has paid tribute to the band's “amazing family of fans” after their triumph at the Kerrang! Awards in London.

The US group were the big winners at the ceremony last night (June 9), taking home the prizes for Best International Band and Best Single for 'Hurricane'.

Leto told BBC Newsbeat: "It's a great chance to say thank you to our amazing family of fans around the world.

"It's good to bookmark this crazy journey with an event like this. We're just happy that we've had the opportunity to come to Europe and play these shows and to tour all over the world.

“We never thought that would ever happen."

Other winners included My Chemical Romance, Bring Me The Horizon and Black Sabbath. Check out the full Kerrang! Awards winners list.
