New Order will release a brand new compilation of Joy Division and New Order tracks.
'Total: From Joy Division To New Order', set for release June 6, will include a previously unrealised New Order track 'Hellbent'.
The 18-track compilation covers the back catalogue of both bands and will include a sleeve design by Peter Saville.
In a statement Peter Hook said: ''It is strange seeing the two bands together on one CD. Nice for me, because I can see the evolution, the way the music changed over the years. I am very proud of both, hopefully this could turn a new generation of people onto both!”
Meanwhile, bassist Peter Hook played Joy Division's 1980 album 'Closer' in its entirety live at The Factory in Manchester last night (May 18).
