Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator has responded to Tegan and Sara after the female duo accused him of writing homophobic lyrics.
Sara Keirsten Quin, who is openly gay, launched an attack against Tyler on their website, teganandsara.com.
She took aim at the rapper's “homophobic slurs” and criticised the media for supporting the hip-hop star.
“As journalists and colleagues defend, excuse and congratulate 'Tyler, The Creator', I find it impossible not to comment,” she said.
“In any other industry would I be expected to tolerate, overlook and find deeper meaning in this kid's sickening rhetoric? Why should I care about this music or its 'brilliance' when the message is so repulsive and irresponsible?"
Responding to the comments on his Twitter page, Tyler said: "If Tegan and Sara Need Some Hard Dick, Hit Me Up!"
