Elbow and Paloma Faith have given their support to a campaign which hopes to highlight the value of music.
Music Matters, initially launched in 2010, seeks to engage with music fans directly and has also won the backing of major UK music retailers.
You can watch Elbow reveal why music matters to them in the video below.
Music Matters creator Niamh Byrne said: “It’s great to see the Music Matters campaign gather momentum and unite artists and industry with one common purpose; to remind us about the enduring value of music.
“We have built some great foundations, but it’s just a start. We need to continue to amplify the message and propel the campaign into the mainstream.”
