Noel Gallagher and New Order's Peter Hook are among the musicians showing their support for Manchester's new 'Music Hall Of Fame'.
The hall of fame will be set up London-based firm 3DTwin and will celebrate Manchester's musical heritage.
Such bands and artists as The Smiths, Oasis, New Order and Take That are set to be featured, reports Manchester Evening News.
"Manchester has always punched above its weight musically and it's high time this was celebrated in a way that will act as an inspiration to the next generation of artist," Noel Gallagher said.
The venue will also hopefully include a live venue, restaurant, screenings room and mega-store.
