Former Stone Roses bassist Mani has rubbished reports that the band are set to reunite after Ian Brown and John Squire met up recently.
A tabloid report on Thursday (April 7) claimed the group were considering reforming following the meeting at the funeral of Mani's mother's funeral.
But the bassist told BBC News: "It's total fantasy island gear."
He added: "Two guys who haven't seen each for 15 years, like people do at funerals, came to pay respects to the bassist's mum and now all this.”
Stone Roses released two studio albums but dissolved six months after Squire left the band in 1996. Brown has since launched a solo career, while Mani performs with Primal Scream.
