Nicki Minaj Pays Tribute To New York DJ Megatron

Nicki Minaj is amongst the stars to pay tribute to New York hip-hop DJ Megatron.

Megatron, real name Corey McGriff, was shot dead while heading to a local store in New York in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 27), reports Billboard.

The rapper wrote her respects over her Twitter:"Rest In Peace DJ Megatron. My thoughts are with your family and friends @ hot 97".

McGriff was known for his work within the hip-hop circles and promoting new artists.

Meanwhile, U2, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are among the acts that will appear on a new charity album for the victims of the Japanese earthquakes and tsunami.
