Lil Wayne has revealed the release date for his new album.
The rapper, who was released from prison last November after serving an eight month sentence for gun possession, will release 'Tha Carter IV’ on May 16 in the US.
‘'Tha Carter IV’ is done. It can come out tomorrow 'cause I'm so finished. All they need to do is tell Tez [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out." Lil Wayne told MTV.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the album will feature collaborations with Nicki Mianaj and Kanye West.
Meanwhile, Eminem, Arcade Fire and Lil' Wayne will headline this year's Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tennessee, it's been announced.
