Coldplay have played down reports that their new album is set to be released in October.
The apparent release schedule for the Brian Eno and Markus Dravs-produced effort was published at the end of last month by the Madrid-based, Europa Press.
But a spokesperson for Coldplay told MTV News that the date was not true. "A release date has not yet been set for Coldplay's next studio album,” they added.
The as-yet-untitled album will be the follow-up to 2008’s ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends’.
Coldplay are set to headline this year’s Glastonbury festival, as well as perform at a host of other European festivals this summer.
