Eminem has revealed that he helped push Dr Dre to finish work on his much-anticipated new album, 'Detox'.
The rapper said current single 'I Need A Doctor' was influential in forcing the producer to complete the project.
“My whole career, especially in the beginning but even still to this day, is always to try to get a reaction out of Dre,” Eminem told Extra.
“[With 'I Need a Doctor'], the reaction I wanted, was to spark him even more than he’s been sparked lately, you know what I’m saying? Even push it further and just get him to finish the album.”
Dr Dre added: “That’s what it did. He was like, ‘Yo, come on, let’s go! Let’s get it.’ This is what he was saying after I heard the song.”
The producer-rapper revealed the video for 'I Need A Doctor' last week.
'Detox', which is the follow-up to 1999's '2001', is due out later this spring, but has yet to be given an official release date.
