Lady Gaga has revealed that she was reduced to tears after performing a homecoming gig at Madison Square Garden in New York last night (February 21).
The singer was played the first of two shows at the venue to a sold out crowd as part of her Monster Ball tour.
Her set included fan favourites 'Bad Romance' and 'Paparazzi', as well as two songs from her new album 'Born This Way': the title-track and 'You And I'.
In a message on Twitter after the gig, Lady Gaga wrote: “Just pulled out of MSG, tears streaming down my face.
“Turned radio on + 'Born This Way' was roaring. Believe, + catch your subway to destiny.”
Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day was among the members of the audience. Lady Gaga plays Madison Square Garden again tonight (February 22).
