Gruff Rhys has revealed that the Super Furry Animals are not splitting up and are planning to record a new album.
The Super Furry Animals singer, who releases is new solo effort 'Hotel Shampoo' on Monday (February 14), brushed off recent rumours that the band are no more.
In an interview with Gigwise, Rhys said that the new album will "sound amazing".
''We are planning on recording another album when we all have some time to get together. We've been recording bit and bobs which are sounding amazing," he said.
He added: ''We've all been busy and it's about time we all got back together. We've had such an intense 15 years, were all getting old so need longer breaks in between records.''
Gruff Rhy's solo UK tour will kick off later this month in support of his new album. Check out Gigwise's full Gruff Rhys interview next week.
