The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr has said he believes the band will embark on a world tour.
The group released their first new single in five years, 'Under Cover Of Darkness', on Wednesday (February 9).
Taken from their forthcoming album 'Angles', the track has been praised by music critics and fans across the world.
In an interview with DJ Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, Hammond Jr said he felt like the band had entered a “new era”.
"I see us completely making music together,” he said. “I see us doing a world tour in balance with a new record. We're going to tour."
Earlier this week, Gigwise revealed that the band were planning to tour in American in June and Europe in July.
'Angles' is released on May 21. You can read Gigwise's 'Under Cover Of Darkness' review and listen to the track now.
