Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and his wife Ashlee Simpson have split after two and a half years of marriage.
Simpson filed for divorce from Wentz on Wednesday (February 9), citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have one son, two-year-old son, Bronx.
In a statement, they said: "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son, Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority.”
Wentz and Simpson married in May 2008 at a private ceremony conducted by Simpson's father, Joe. They had been dating for two years.
Meanwhile, Wentz recently launched new band Black Cards.
