Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that the programme couldn’t afford to use one of Eminem’s songs on the TV show.
Murphy told the Hollywood Reporter they approached the rapper’s record label about using his hit ‘Lose Yourself’.
But they were told that the song would cost $200,000 to license.
Murphy described the price as “jaw-droppingly expensive”, adding: “We couldn’t do it because the episode would’ve been so over budget.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Murphy has been involved in an ongoing feud with Kings Of Leon this week.
It came after the Nashville band refused to allow their hit ‘Use Somebody’ to appear on the programme.
