A musical written by Tori Amos is to debut at the National Theatre, it's been announced.
The as-yet-untitled production, which opens in the Lyttelton auditorium in April 2012.
It is based on The Light Princess, a 19th century fairy tale by George MacDonald, reports the Press Association.
The musical will mark Amos's first foray in the theatre. The singer released her last album 'Midwinter Graces' in 2009.
The forthcoming season will also feature a production called One Man, Two Guvnors, an updated version of 18th century comedy A Servant Of Two Masters starring James Corden.
