Nicki Minaj has described Kanye West as a “creative genius” and said the rapper has played an influential role in her career.
The rising star rose to prominence last year after making a guest appearance on West's track 'Monster', which is also features Jay-Z.
In an interview on BBC Radio 1, Minaj said she was unaware that she would be joining such esteemed company on the song.
“A new girl female rapper and I'm on a track with these two heavyweights,” she said. “It's the best feeling in the world."
Speaking about West, Minaj said: "He's just amazing. He analyses everything in a very weird way so when you talk to him you always get a different perspective.
“It's never the normal perspective on any topic."
Minaj has been in London on a promotional tour for her debut album 'Pink Friday', which came out at the end of 2010.
