Jessie J has come top of the BBC Sound Of 2011 list, it’s been announced.
The 22-year-old singer, real name Jessica Cornish, recently enjoyed success with the single ‘Do It Like A Dude’.
She beat James Blake, who came second in the poll, and in third place new London band The Vaccines.
The annual list is collated from the votes of more than 160 music industry tastemakers.
This year’s longlist also included Jamie Woon, Clare Maguire, Anna Calvi and Mona.
In past years, the BBC countdown has been won by Ellie Goulding, Little Boots and Mika.
