The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has said the band are hoping to release a new single every month this year.
Coyne said the group planned to begin recording later in January and that they would document the process.
“We'll try to release a song a month and document the song in the making, whether it takes us three or five days or a week,” he told Rolling Stone.
“It's gonna be, 'We're working on a song and it's gonna be up by Friday'. We just want to [release new material] some other way."
Coyne admitted that the group had a number of ideas about what formats to release the new songs on, including children's toys and cereal boxes.
