The white suit worn by John Lennon on the cover of The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’ is to go up for auction.
The iconic two-piece garment is one of a host of items due to go under the hammer at Braswell Galleries in Connecticut on New Year’s Day (January 1).
The owner is believed to be selling the item due to financial difficulties, reports the Associated Press.
The blazer Lennon for in the music video for ‘Imagine’ is also part of the auction.
Earlier this month fans paid tribute to the former Beatle on the 30th anniversary of his death.
