The View have said that they took a more serious approach to recording their new album.
The as-yet-untitled effort, which is the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Which Bitch?’, has been produced by Youth and is due out in the new year.
In an exclusive interview with Gigwise, singer and guitarist Kyle Falconer said they thought hard about the album’s sound.
“We were thinking more about the sound with this album,” he said.
“About how all the instruments and vocals would work together. The rest of the band’s now singing more on this record as well.”
He added: “We actually have been giving a f*ck about it. Before it was like, ‘Piano? What the f*ck’, but now we have been using a load more instruments.”
The band also revealed that their songwriting was more grown up than on their previous efforts.
The View are currently on a nationwide UK tour. Check out the full View interview now.
