Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been longlisted for an Oscar for Best Original Song.
The singer is in contention for ‘Me and Tennessee’, which is sung by his wife Gwyneth Paltrow in the movie, Country Strong.
The actress has also been given a nod for another song, while songs performed by Janet Jackson and Alanis Morissette are also up.
The songs will be shortlisted to no more than five before the nominations are announced on January 25 next year.
The 2011 Oscars are due to take place at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on February 27.
