Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am has spoken about his relationship with Cheryl Cole and revealed that he suffers from tinnitus.
Tabloid reports have continued to romantically link the rapper and X Factor judge in recent months.
But in an interview with The Sun newspaper, will.i.am downplayed the rumours and said he enjoyed working with Cole on a professional level.
"Yes, Cheryl and I are both in love - with music. That's why we get on so well,” he said. “Those rumours were hilarious. I've been lucky to work with her.
"I think I've helped to bring out the best in her. She will be a huge star in America."
Meanwhile, will.i.am also revealed that he is battling tinnitus – a medical condition that leaves a constant ringing in the ears.
"I don't know what silence sounds like any more. Music is the only thing which eases my pain,” he said, adding that the ringing has “gradually got worse”.
Black Eyed Peas released their new album 'The Beginning' last month.
