Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has said he still can’t believe that he and Noel Gallagher pulled their own teams in the FA Cup draw.
The pair selected the 64 teams for the third round of the competition at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday (November 29).
And to their surprise, Pizzorno drew his favourite team Leicester City and long-time Manchester City fan Gallagher pulled out his club to face each other.
“Once I made that draw, I completely lost it, I don’t remember pulling the next ten balls out, I didn’t know what was going on,” Pizzorno told the FA’s website.
“It was psychedelic. I can’t believe it!”
Former Oasis star Gallagher, who also selected Manchester City in rehearsals, said he was also unnerved by the draw.
“What where the odds on that? Its unbelievable! I am blown away by that, when I turned the ball around I nearly dropped it,” he said.
“I was more nervous after that then when I walked out on stage here at Wembley. The odds were astronomical.”
The matches will be played over the weekend of January 8-9 2011.
