Yoko Ono has praised X Factor contestants Cher Lloyd and Katy Waissell after they paid tribute to The Beatles on the reality show.
Lloyd sang her own rendition of ‘Imagine’, while Waissel performed ‘Help’ for the judges on Saturday (November 20).
In a message on Tiwtter, Ono, the widow of John Lennon, said: "Cher & Katie - I watched you sing Imagine and Help! on #XFactor and thought you were fantastic!
“A big hug to both of you, love yoko."
X Factor staged a Beatles tribute night to celebrate the band’s recent addition to the iTunes music store. It marks the first time the Fab Four's back catalogue has been available as a digital download.
